Work exhibited in the unit X ‘We Are the Future’ exhibition with Manchester Metropolitan University. These work’s were inspired by Heinz Kohut’s theory of the ‘self-psychology’ and explores themes such as narcissism, self-objects, mirroring and projective identification. The piece reflects the fragility and facade in our sense of self, this being illustrated by the fragmentation of the self-portrait onto a broken mirror. The film for this piece was made in collaboration with film students at Manchester Metropolitan, thank you to the cinematographer Alexander Winward and editor Martin Cross.
