Here are some photographs from a project during my first year at university exploring gender. The images were inspired by a personal interest in drag culture and androgyny. I took the contemporary trend of the ‘selfie’ in order to explore the boundaries of the self-portrait, creating a sense of self-expression and identity in the language of the modern world of social media and technology.
