Following a period in an artistic identity flux, I decided it was only appropriate to explore the theme of identity, as a form of catharsis of my personal artistic struggles. With this, I wanted to illustrate my personal questioning of identity through the predominant use of the self-portrait. The style was an exploration of abstraction and surrealism within the realism of portraiture.
